Frequently Asked Questions

  • I’m interested in applying but there doesn’t appear to be any open positions. What should I do?

  • In our industry, situations can change at the blink of an eye. If your desired position is not currently posted on our website, we still encourage you to submit an application. That way we will already have your information on file and can immediately initiate the interview process.

  • What are some of the advantages of working at MedSmart versus other staffing agencies?

  • There are several key advantages that employees at MedSmart enjoy. First, due to the large number of positions and settings under our umbrella, we can provide flexibility for your work schedule and place of employment. We also offer more opportunities for career advancement and growth when compared to positions in a single department at a hospital or a solo position at a clinic. Due to the large number of people we employ, we are able to grant virtually all vacation and holiday requests. To learn more, please feel free to contact us and speak with a representative

  • I am currently employed, however I’m interested in working picking up additional hours at MedSmart. Will I still be able to keep my current position if I’m offered employment with MedSmart?

  • As long as you do not currently work for a staffing agency, or work at a facility currently staffed by MedSmart, there are no limitations to you working with other companies.

  • What are the eligibility requirements for benefits and when do they begin?

  • Full-time employees who work at least 30 hours each week are eligible for benefits after 90 days. Employees that work less than 30 hours each week are not eligible for benefits.

  • With so many clients and contracts, will I be required to work at different facilities?

  • At MedSmart we aim to match our employees’ desired positions with the scheduling needs of our clients, creating a relationship that is beneficial to both parties. If you prefer to remain at a single location or travel to a variety of job sites, we are confident we can find the right position for you.

  • Is MedSmart solely a temp agency or does it offer opportunities for full-time positions?

  • MedSmart primarily engages in long-term contracts with clients, which allows us to offer full-time positions to the technologists on our team. In fact, we have several client relationships that have lasted more than 15 years.
